Breast and chest veins can be visually distracting and aesthetically unpleasant to a women. The breast veins generally become prominent and noticeable during or following puberty, pregnancy, after breast augmentation, or during sudden weight gain. All of these stated conditions can affect the breast by causing a malfunction of the venous valves which in turn cause blockade and interruption in the normal venous circulation. However, in most cases, these visible breast veins tend to subside and disappear with time. When time alone does not cause these veins to disappear certain treatments such as sclerotherapy and laser light treatments are very effective at alleviating these breast veins. These superficial breast and chest wall veins are generally considered to be harmless.
